
Anyone who knows me knows what a huge Doctor Who fan I am. I have three small Tardises (the Doctors spaceship) on my desk complete with action figures… and before you say I’m a little old to have action figures I tend to agree, but I’m never too old to dream of the day when a man/alien in a big blue box comes to whisk me away to visit other worlds… come on, who wouldn’t want that!
But when it comes to the Doctor spewing his British accented jargon on an episode where aliens are about to attack earth, I’m pretty slow on what the heck he is saying.
Doctor: “People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly….time-y wimey…stuff”.
Me: “I don’t know what you just said, but I’m going to put that on a T-shirt and act like I understand”!
